Sandy Smith - PRE-SCHOOL & SCCS School Director
I was born and raised in Summersville, MO. I am married to Kenny Smith. We have 2 children; Kalenna Wilson and Dusty Smith. We have 5 grandchildren; Sawyer, Hunter, Shiloh, Gracelynn, and Bridger. They are the delights of Nana/Neena Sandy.
I love to travel, have grandkid sleep-overs, family time, camping, side-by-side riding, and just being in God's great outdoors. I have a Bachelor of Science in K-8 Education, a Master's in Education, and a K-12 Library Certification. I taught in the Summersville School District for 31 yrs (Kindergarten, Fourth Grade, back to Kindergarten, and then in the Library). I retired in 2008, but unknown to me that God wasn't done with me teaching His children.
I am one of the founders of Summersville Community Christian School. SCCS started as a mission program, by the area churches, for ages 3 & 4. I was the director of the 3 yr old program. I started the 24-25 school year in the 3 yr old program and finished the year as one of the Kindergarten teachers. I loved every moment of it! I am thrilled to be a founder of and be able to teach at SCCS. I've always loved education and now I can help the students gain a love for God and His creation; while teaching their academics through a Christian curriculum. It thrills my heart to hear the kids pray, sing praises to God, recognize the need to follow the ways of Jesus to help make this a better world. I am at awe watching how God is working in His school; from all the donations, volunteers, teachers, supplies, etc... that He has given to the school. ALL praises go to Him.!
Jubilee Rabun - KINDERGARTEN
I am Jubilee Rabun. I am 22 yrs old, and I live in Hartshorn, MO. I am so excited to teach at SCCS this year. I taught preschool and music last year, and I am looking forward to moving up to Kindergarten. One of my favorite things about teaching, is the opportunity to directly impact the lives of my students. I enjoy being able to watch / help them learn, grow, and develop into well rounded Christian individuals. I also enjoy any sort of art or music, and creativity in any area. I live on a farm, and love spending time outdoors with my animals. I think it's important to know each student individually; their personality, the way they learn, and to encourage each one to reach their own potential! I know God placed me in this school for a special purpose, and I look forward to doing all I can to help our SCCS community.
Jessica Jerrell - 1st through 12th
I am Jessica Jerrell. I was born and raised near Houston, TX. I am married to Jason Jerrell. My husband and I moved to Summersville, MO in 2017. We have two girls; Ellie and Sadie. I attended Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX; acquiring a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Victim Service Management. I worked as a juvenile probation officer for eight years, in Montgomery County Texas, where I worked with kids from all walks of life. Once moving to Missouri I worked for a couple of years as a substitute teacher and as a para in the MVBT School District. Working at SCCS allows me to integrate my faith into every part of the day; whether if it's praying with students, or speaking openly about God's love. I love being a part of a community that shares those values. I was once told the most important job as a mother is to ensure your children are on the "ARK". To ensure this I want to make sure my children get a strong foundation in academic excellence and spiritual growth. I believe SCCS can provide that, and I am excited to be part of their team. In my spare time I love to spend time outside with my girls, baking, sewing, and reading.
Janet Holden - 1st through 6th
I am Janet Holden. I was born and raised in Missouri. I have lived here my whole life. I married my wonderful husband, Bill Holden in 1990. We have one son, Jaret, who graduated from Summersville High School. I have a degree in Elementary Education. I am certified in K-12 Library Science, and I have a Master's degree in Elem Edu. I am a retired public school teacher. I have over 33 yrs experience in education. I have taught TItle 1 Reading and Language at Winona School District (7 yrs). I taught at MVBT School District for 24 yrs. At MVBT I taught 1st grade for many years and then the Librarian. I am so excited for this opportunity to return this year to SCCS to continue teaching. I taught Kindergarten this past year at SCCS. I love working with the children and watching them grow, and helping them develop a love for learning that will last a lifetime, is an absolute joy.
Katrina House - 7th through 12th (volunteer) & Web Design and Technology for SCCS (volunteer)
I am Katrina House. I am a former teacher from MVBT School District. I taught 4th grade for 5 yrs, and K-6 PE for 2 yrs. I have a Bachelor's degree in Elem Ed. I am also certified K-12 Health, K-12 PE, and 5-9 Social Studies. At my time at MVBT; I also coached Cheerleading for 7 yrs and Basketball for 2 yrs. I left education to start a business or two. I love teaching. I currently teach Pre-K and Kindergarten, on Wednesday nights, at my church. I have taught that age group for 5 yrs. I attend Mtn View Christian Church, in Mtn View. I am married to, my wonderful husband, Mark House. I am momma to Maverick. I am caretaker to all the critters that run around our farm, but most important I am who God says I am. I am a daughter of the King. Thankful we live in a country where we have choices and choosing a Bible based education is a possibility.
Ms. Christine - 1st - 12th VOLUNTEER
Ms Christine is an amazing volunteer!! The students love her. She helps all students in Reading, and helps with the individual educational needs of students. We are BLESSED to have her volunteer.
